The One-Page-Play-Competition-Athon is now a firmly established and much loved part of Hotbed Festival.  And it’s all for charity!  The winner - decided by the audience - gets to donate £250 to a charity of their choice.

Anyone can enter.  Last year’s winner was a very-first-timer, this year it could be you!

To enter, just email your one-page-play to office@menagerie.uk.com before 1st July.  The sooner you send it, the more chance you have of seeing it on stage.

At Hotbed 2009, all the one-page-plays must be inspired by the theme of Competition.  You can respond to this single word in any way you like, from epic battles to X-Factor finals, the Olympics to Cain and Abel… the possibilities are endless.

And whether you enter or not, don’t forget to come along and help choose the winner!

Terms & Conditions
All plays will be performed anonymously.  If a play is to receive a performance, the writer will be notifed as early as possible.  All plays will be produced by Menagerie.  Menagerie cannot guarantee that every play submitted will be performed; in the event that the competition is over-subscribed Menagerie will select the best plays available; Menagerie’s decisions regarding the selection of plays are final.  The winner will be decided by an audience vote.
